Shreyas Poojary is an architect and computational designer exploring the intersection of traditional architectural practice, advanced technologies, and computation. His work spans architecture, kinetic systems, complex geometries, advanced manufacturing, and industrial design, leveraging emerging technologies to push the boundaries of architectural expression.
Trained as an architect and computational designer, Shreyas holds a Master of Advanced Architectural Design from California College of the Arts and a Bachelor of Architecture from Aditya College of Architecture, University of Mumbai. His projects investigate adaptive structures, fabrication workflows, performance-driven design, and additive manufacturing. In 2021, Shreyas was awarded a Letter of Recognition from the University of Edinburgh for his contribution through design proposals for the redevelopment of AJC Bose Botanical Gardens in Howrah, India.
Previously, Shreyas worked as an Architect at Designers Combine in Mumbai, contributing to projects ranging from redevelopment housing to recreational and educational spaces. He also served as a Design Assistant at CCA’s Center for Art & Public Life, where he designed a sculptural installation and explored the role of architecture in public engagement. His recent work includes a kinetic facade prototype powered by custom 3D-printed bevel gears and stepper motors, a transformable rapid-assembly shelter, and furniture prototyping using recycled plastic and additive manufacturing.
Driven by a curiosity for computational workflows in traditional architectural practice, he aims to create designs that are not only intelligent and efficient but also responsive and future-oriented.
